DAF Trucks Ireland has handed over a new DAF XB 230 FA 4×2 rigid to BOC Gases, the latest addition to the company’s extensive fleet.
The fully equipped 14-tonne unit was handed over to Ian Smith, National Fleet Manager at BOC Gases, by DAF Fleet Sales Manager Paul O’Reilly.

With a history stretching back more than 140 years, BOC Gases provides products and services to customers operating across numerous sectors. The new DAF XB 230 will further strengthen its fleet and support the company in continuing to provide an efficient and reliable service to its customers.
The new 14-tonne rigid features DAF’s XB Day Cab and is powered by the 230hp PX-7 engine, paired with an eight-speed automated transmission.
It also comes with an extensive specification including a luxury air-suspended driver’s seat, DAF infotainment system, LED lighting, air conditioning, rear-view camera and a comprehensive safety package.
