Best wishes to FOTP from the team at Irish Trucker!
09/07/2026
Irish Trucker’s enduring and mutually-respectful relationship with Full of the Pipe continues full steam ahead in 2026 as we are once more proud to be maintained as official media partner to Ireland’s premier truck show. Thanks to Colin and Kevin for keeping faith in the Irish Trucker team and here’s hoping (and believing) that this year’s show is another resounding success!
Full of the Pipe has become an annual highlight in the lives of Ireland’s truckers – a one-of-a-kind, once-a-year event that brings pleasure, joy and pride to so many of you. Everybody in the industry with a penchant for truck shows and social gatherings looks forward to this magnificent weekend at Mondello Park – including of course our good selves at Irish Trucker.
The juices start flowing when the date is set in stone; then the countdown begins. Writing about and previewing the show is an unbelievable honour – when you get to mix work with pleasure, it doesn’t feel like work at all… Putting together this preview / programme for the show is only bettered by being there.
What a weekend it invariably is! Like-minded people mingling together, celebrating our essential and ftentimes undervalued industry, the trucks, the people, the lives.
We’ve been on board with Full of the Pipe since it started from modest beginnings. Together, we’ve had quite a journey, overcoming trials and tribulations aplenty together along the way. From the word go, we believed that FOTP was going to be something very special indeed and, all these years later, we stand vindicated. Not that you needed to be a psychic … it should have been blindingly obvious even to those with limited intuition.
To still be the official media partner of a show as immense as Full of the Pipe is quite frankly one of Irish Trucker’s greatest accomplishments to date.
For 16 years and counting now, Full of the Pipe and Irish Trucker have grown hand in hand during what have let’s face it been unprecedentedly challenging times for our industry and the wider economy in general.
Hot on the heels of the demise of the Celtic Tiger, we’ve had Brexit, Covid, the seemingly-never-ending cost-of-living crisis and now a crippling fuel crisis, not to mention rising costs of vehicles and wages, all of which have hit the haulage sector hard. Through all of this, Full of the Pipe offers a glimmer of light and a chance to let our hair down – the second weekend of July is going to be better than any tonic! It’s arguably more important than ever that we all try to make the most of these occasions.
Irish Trucker was involved in a promotional capacity when the very first Full of the Pipe truck show was staged in the humble surrounds of Athlone IT in 2010. Little could we have imagined the winding journey that would be navigated in the interim as FOTP grew steadily through hard work, dedication and perseverance into Ireland’s premier truck show. Sheer commitment, enthusiasm, passion, vision and integrity have been key to making this happen.
“We’d like to reiterate that being retained year after year as media partner to Full of the Pipe is a privilege and responsibility we at Irish Trucker take very, very seriously,” comments Barry McNamee. “We are not in the least bit surprised that Full of the Pipe has grown into Ireland’s premier truck show and one of the leading transport and logistics events in Europe. Having promoted, documented, supported and attended FOTP since the beginning, we feel a special bond with the show and are immeasurably pleased that today it stands unrivalled as both an iconic brand and an occasion not to be missed.”
Through both print and online media, Irish Trucker endeavours to provide a voice and due recognition to the hauliers, fleet operators, dealers, manufacturers, garages, test centres, retailers, Transport Managers and everybody else who make haulage in Ireland so unique and robust. As official media partner of Full of the Pipe, we make it our business to do what we can to help preview, promote, highlight, advertise and report on this spectacular trucking extravaganza - a fun-packed weekend during which truckers can leave their troubles outside the door and spend precious moments together.
As ever, it was an absolute honour to put this preview programme together. Kevin and Colin and their friends and families work on Full of the Pipe all year around, with no detail left to chance in the relentless pursuit of excellence and the ultimate experience for truckers and visitors alike.
We at Irish Trucker would like to take this opportunity to once more congratulate Full of the Pipe on its remarkable growth and success to date and to wish everybody associated with this amazing show and all its supporters all the best for 2026 and beyond. Another unbelievable weekend beckons – see you there!
