Transpec Ltd, Ireland’s leading supplier of aftermarket truck and trailer parts, has finalised the acquisition of The Airbrake Centre Ltd.

Transpec, part of the BPW Aftermarket Group, operates in Dublin, Cork, and Limerick. Since 1999, it has earned a reputation for quality, reliability, and customer service in Ireland’s transport and logistics sector.

Founded over 30 years ago, The Airbrake Centre is Ireland’s top provider of airbrake components for the HGV sector. The company is recognised for its technical expertise and service commitment.

Commenting on the acquisition, Richard Sheehan, Managing Director of Transpec, said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome The Airbrake Centre to the BPW Aftermarket Group and to join the Transpec network in Ireland. The Airbrake Centre is highly regarded in the industry, known for its expertise, high-quality products, and strong customer relationships. Charlie and the rest of the team will remain with the business, while Ray will be retiring.”

Charles Darbey, founder and former Managing Director of The Airbrake Centre, added: “Ray Johnson and I are immensely proud of what The Airbrake Centre has achieved over the past thirty years. Joining forces with Transpec and the BPW Group guarantees our customers will continue to receive the same trusted service, supported by the strength and resources of a leading European network.”

The acquisition provides Transpec with a strategic new location on Dublin’s north side, strengthens its nationwide presence, and expands service coverage across the country.
