Hubtrac Tyres, the newest European tyre brand, made their official launch into the Irish truck tyre market at the Irish Road Haulage Association’s national conference and AGM from the 12 to the 14 of September in Galway’s Salthill.

Midland Tyre Services, who are Hubtrac’s exclusive distribution partners for all of Ireland (including Northern Ireland) hosted an extensive presentation of the brand’s products as well as holding interactive sessions where they detailed the brand’s unique position within the TBR (Truck & Bus Radial) segment featuring Hubtrac’s manufacturing processes and the brand’s extensive technical prowess.

To support the launch, Midland Tyre Services and Hubtrac had extensive representation over the entirety of the weekend including key personnel from product management, engineering and commercial teams.

A key feature of the weekend was the launch of Hubtrac’s ‘Regional’ segmentation tyres which are among the most modern designs within Europe currently!

Hubtrac’s regional steer patterns; the ‘S23’ have been designed and manufactured with functionality and useability in mind whilst ensuring excellent performance in terms of tyre life, damage resistance and driver comfort. Imbedded features such as 3D interlocking tread-blocks which resist abnormal wear patterns, variable depth sipes with integrated stone ejectors, which ensure good wet braking grip and improve damage resistance and casing acceptance, have been designed into these tyres from the ground up ensuring that these tyres deliver even and consistent wear profiles for users in this segment. The S23 is 3PMSF marked and is available in a range of sizes including ; 315/80R22.5, 315/70R22.5 & 295/60R22.5 with more sizes being added in the near future:

In tandem with the newly launched regional steer tyre, so too is the all new Hubtrac regional drive tyre; The ‘D22’! This tyre also benefits from features such as: 3D interlocking tread-blocks and variable depth sipes but it also incorporates Stress Optimisation Control Technologies (SOCT)! These are a number of interconnected technical developments such as a newly designed belt structure, the inclusion of new ultra-high strength wire in the tyre structure and an improved rubber compound that is optimised to return greater wear rates whilst ensuing improved rolling resistance, a key influencer on vehicle fuel use and Co2 emissions. The D22 is 3PMSF certified and is available immediately in sizes; 315/80R22.5, 315/70R22.5 and 295/60R22.5.

The newest addition to the regional tyre portfolio is the Regional T22! Incorporating all the latest product technologies such as SOCT and multi sipe design, this tyre also benefits from the addition of a 164K load and speed rating, giving it a ten tonne axle load capability, whilst also benefiting from 3PMSF certification making it suitable for use in ‘winter’ conditions across all designated territories. The reinforced shoulder area provides excellent damage resistance and wear potential. It is available now in 385/55R22.5 and 385/65R22.5.

In addition to their regional tyres, Hubtrac also displayed many of their mixed service tyres. Of particular interest to Irish users, the Mixed D21 drive tyre which is immediately available in 315/80R22.5 fitments is a ‘V’ grip pattern mixed service tyre with outstanding mud and stone ejection properties and consequently excellent damage resistance and performance in terms of life and value.

As well as the tread patterns and applications listed previously, Hubtrac also have an extensive range of tyres across all fitments and applications including in 17.5”, 19.5” and of course 22.5” rim diameters.

Midland Tyre Services have the entire range of products in stock and are available for national distribution directly! Feel free to logon to www.hubtrac.ie to view the entire range.
