“Business is good. Our workshop is booming,” Graham enthuses.
“We’ve gained a lot of new customers over the last six-to-eight months due to our unrivalled service and availability of stock. We provide a top-class service and free delivery on over 30,000 CV parts from the most reputable and well-known brands in the industry.
“In the unlikely event of us not having a part in stock, we will have the next day. The bulk of our clients are from the haulage and agri sectors. We have a large and loyal customer-base who we’re always willing to go the extra mile for. It’s all about keeping our customers happy and being able to give them what they want.
“We’re also very strong on the brake shoe relining side of things. From our dedicated workshop, we supply brake shoes to a lot of our competitors. We actually have a very good relationship with them, just as we do with the main truck dealers like Volvo, DAF and Scania.”
Commercial Spare Parts’ recent growth comes on the back of a move in 2019 to what was then an 11,000 sq. ft. facility with a 2,500 sq. ft. workshop. Since then, the premises has been extended to 13,000 sq. ft. with the workshop increasing in size to 3,500 sq. ft. The workshop is kitted out with Supaset de-riveting machines which quickly and efficiently remove rolled (formed) rivets from brake shoe assemblies. The safe, quick removal of brake linings from the brake shoe platforms is essential for an efficient re-lining workshop. The premises also includes a trade counter and a large stock area.
The Co. Armagh firm employs 12 full-time staff, including some of Graham’s family. It operates a small fleet of delivery vans throughout the region.
According to the affable managing director, attention to detail and superb technical knowledge are crucial as well as the ability to meet customer demand at all times.
“I’d like to think that we keep a close eye on the many things that we have going on here and that we remain competitive when it comes to the service that we provide,” he says.

UAN has over 180 affiliates throughout the UK and Ireland comprising over 250 branches. The buying group specialises in the light vehicle and commercial vehicle aftermarket and holds great value in engaging with its affiliates regularly to discuss industry changes and work to ensure it has the resources to maintain growth within its network.
AAG is a leading distributor of passenger and commercial vehicle parts to the independent automotive aftermarket in Europe, operating in the UK and Ireland, France, Germany, Poland, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Romania and Hungary.
