Running an immaculate fleet of stunning Scania trucks, Tyrone Transport deliver the goods on time, every time. Covering the island of Ireland and the UK, this industry-leading, family business continues to go from strength to strength on the back of consistently achieving unbeatable service levels.

Experience of every aspect of haulage shines through at Tyrone Transport. Fronted by the father and son team of Paul and Patrick McKeown, this exceptional family business invariably provides a prompt and professional service from its well-appointed Moy, County Tyrone HQ.

A true trucker at heart with a real love of fresh and well-maintained Scania lorries, Paul has worked in haulage for all of his adult life, accumulating invaluable experience as both a driver and a Transport Manager

From a one-man, one-truck affair, Tyrone Transport has grown steadily over the years by offering customers a transportation service they can depend on.

Today, the resplendent nine-strong fleet of striking green-and-white Tyrone Transport Scanias works hard on the roads of Ireland north and south as well as the UK, and Paul regularly upgrades and replenishes the modern, fully-tracked fleet to ensure optimum performance at all times.

To this end, the personable Northern Ireland haulier added three fresh units during the course of 2024. “We always try to bring a few new ones in every year to make sure we are at the level we need to be at.”

Since inception, Tyrone Transport has set the bar high and has focused on providing value-added service to absolute customer satisfaction, resulting in a large volume of repeat business as well as positive referrals through word of mouth.

A thoroughly reliable logistics partner with an implicit understanding of the importance of trust and reliability, Tyrone Transport’s daily next-day deliveries ensure that all goods arrive on time, every time.

Indeed, the fact that Paul and Patrick can count on ever-expanding customer base speaks volumes for the quality of the service provided, Tyrone Transport focus on getting goods from A to B as quickly and securely as possible.

Paul is very much the archetypal hands-on proprietor, always ready to get behind the wheel whenever necessary, while Patrick oversees the day-to-day scheduling and movement of the lorries from the office as Transport Manager. While it’s a family business, Paul says he’s very lucky to have assembled a great team of vastly-experienced, friendly and skilled drivers & yard workers, who represent the company with distinction at all times.

“We have eight full-time drivers and then on top of that another two or three part-time lads who get fairly regular work,” he comments. “Drivers are difficult to get so you try to hold onto them. You wouldn’t have a business without them.

“We also have five lads in the yard refurbishing pallets. We fix up and repair and grade pallets and transport them in and out of UK & Ireland, which is another side to the business.”

There’s never a dull moment at Tyrone Transport, where Paul and Patrick are on hand working hard around the clock to ensure that their wonderful fleet of Scania trucks and trailers (predominantly curtainsiders &  fridges ) continue to provide customers with the high-quality haulage solutions for which this highly-regarded family business is renowned near and far.

Experience and application have been central to the success of Tyrone Transport over the past eight years, and Paul is as committed as ever to looking after every customer and every consignment with attention to detail and professionalism that personifies the business:

“In this line of work, you have to always be punctual and professional in everything you do,” he concludes. “Since Day One, anything we have done, we’ve done it right. Every delivery is completed on time and we keep on top of it at all times. At the end of the day, it all boils down to providing a good service and that’s what we will continue to do going forward.

“We won’t let our standards drop. We’ll keep improving the fleet and improving our service, looking after our customers. Hopefully that will allow us to grow a little bit more. Whatever the future brings, our customers will always come first.”
