In choosing to further modernise its fleet of commercial vehicles, one of Ireland's largest transport companies, Perennial Freight has become the first in the country to take delivery of the new Mercedes-Benz Actros ProCabin.

Supplied by Motor Distributors Limited, of which Perennial Freight is a long-standing customer, the new tractor unit comes factory finished in Perennial Freight’s eye-catching cobalt blue livery and will operate out of the company's Taghmon base in Wexford, servicing daily routes across Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe.

Aimed at achieving fuel savings of up to three percent, the new Actros ProCabin has been designed specifically for aerodynamic efficiency. Features contributing towards a streamlined airflow include a pre-spoiler before the roof spoiler; A-pillar deflector panels around the side windows; extended side deflectors and new underbody panelling.

From the Mercedes-Benz Actros ‘L’ package – the most luxurious product offering in the model series – driver comforts in the new ProCabin include luxury bunk beds, sliding fridge, night heater, passenger table, ambient interior lights and glass sunroof. Safety features include tyre pressure monitors, Active Brake Assist ‘5’, Lane Departure and Traffic Sign Assist.

Established in 1998 and now with offices in Ireland, the UK, France, Belgium, Spain and Poland, Perennial Freight is widely recognised as one of Ireland’s largest transport companies, with a fleet of over 1000 trailers and a further 130 trucks operating transport services across continental Europe.
