The company stocks new and used Kassbohrer and MAC trailers, half pipe trailers, flats, curtains and various low-loaders. It has the largest selection of trucks and trailers in Ireland to choose from, including Scania, Volvo, Renault, MAN, Mercedes, Kasshohrer, MAC, SDC, Montracon, Schmitz, Faymonville, Nooteboom, King and Chereau.

Plant sales consist of Hitachi, Doosan, JCB, Takeuchi, CAT, Kubota and Komatsu. Over the years, M&M Trucks has seen continued growth in the retail and export markets, and is happy to quote shipping rates for all worldwide ports and destinations. Shipping can be arranged to all major ports.

“What we do here basically is buy and sell trucks, trailers and plant throughout Ireland and the UK,” Mark explains. 

“We also export to Africa and Asia. The majority of older stock is transported to the African continent. This makes up about 10% of our sales and the other 90% remain in Ireland and the UK.”

A career in truck, trailer and plant sales happened more by accident than design for the co-directors.

“I trained and qualified to be an electrician,” Mark reveals.

“After working for a number of years on commercial sites, I started buying and selling cars and vans using Auto Trader and various other magazines. Garry, a qualified mechanic, had a wide knowledge of HGV maintenance and servicing which helped propel us into truck and trailer sales.    

“Selling trucks, trailers and plant evolved from this. Garry and I then acquired a premises near our homes in Dromintee and haven’t looked back.”  

Mark puts M&M Trucks’ longevity and success down to its unrivalled backup service and warranty package.

“We pride ourselves on our aftersales service,” he says.

“The vast majority of our customers are from the construction, quarry, haulage and agri sectors. We carry a wide range of tractor units, rigids and trailers from all the leading brands as well as excavators, bulldozers, teleporters, tractors and specialised equipment. We have the machine for you and get a lot of repeat business.

“We liaise with another company in order to offer three-month, six-month or 12-month warranty packages. Anyone that is starting out in business and intends to invest a substantial sum of money in a vehicle might find it prudent to safeguard their asset. This is why we offer a warranty package with each sale. We feel it is important to protect our customers and make them aware of this service.”
