Sponsorship provides the bedrock of every major show and Tipperary Truck Show is delighted to retain industry-leading trailer manufacturer Dennison Trailers as main event sponsor for 2024, with both parties celebrating landmark anniversaries this year.

Tipperary Truck Show 2024 In Association With Dennison Trailers takes place at Bornacrusha, Holycross over the weekend of Saturday, August 31st and Sunday, September 1st. It’s an exciting new venue for one of the fastest-growing events on Ireland’s truck show circuit and the fact that the gathering is going to be staged on a hard surface represents a major plus given the unpredictability of Irish weather.

While the venue has changed, everything else remains the same. A high-quality show is in prospect thanks to the meticulous preparations of the organisers, who are pulling out all the stops once more to make sure that Tipperary Truck Show 2024 is one to remember.

For what will be the last big show of the calendar year, the static truck and tractor displays will be complemented by live music, trade stands, funfair / amusements, food vendors and even a dog show, while world record holder Terry Grant will be on hand to perform an electrifying stunt show.

Acknowledged as one of the major players in commercial trailer design and manufacture, offering a broad range of market leading, innovative and superbly engineered products, which are second to none, Dennison Trailers maintains its proud association with Tipperary Truck Show by continuing in the role of flagship sponsor. And, as an uncanny but happy coincidence would have it, both parties are celebrating landmark anniversaries this year.

This is the tenth-anniversary-edition Tipp Truck Show, while Dennison have been manufacturing high quality trailers designed to meet and even exceed the needs of the most demanding operators since 1964. What better way to mark their 60th anniversary than by getting behind an event that means so much to the truckers of Ireland, whom Dennison Trailers have been serving with distinction for six decades and counting!

Dennison has a passion for engineering excellence, continuous product development and simply unbeatable customer service – and it shows. Underpinning each and every trailer is the renowned Dennison chassis - the culmination of more than six decades of design and manufacturing expertise and experience.

Originally established in Northern Ireland in 1964 by brothers George and Jim Dennison building semi-trailers and for a brief period at the end of the 1970’s manufacturing trucks, Dennison has grown year on year to become a market leading manufacturer, with customers throughout Ireland and the UK as well as a growing export market. Today, the company is still owned and managed day-to-day by the Dennison family.

Dennison Trailers serve the container transport sector and are also experiencing significant growth in other markets spanning the construction, timber, steel and oil industries.

In Ireland and the UK Dennison is the market leader in the supply of skeletal trailers. They are also experiencing rapid growth in sales of curtainsiders, platforms, trombone trailers and their range of machinery carriers.

Throughout their history, Dennison have been an innovative company, with continuous research and development prominent at the core of the business.

In 1977, Dennison Trailers became the first and only company in Ireland to develop and manufacture their own tractor units, producing 250 Dennison trucks over four years at a site in. Dublin. In 2002, they developed the unique sliding tipper trailer concept. Designed to benefit operators running 8x4 rigid tippers, the sliding tipper offers higher payload, greater fuel efficiency, more flexibility in operation and considerably greater manoeuvrability on site, including sites where access and space are limited.

The outstanding success of the sliding tipper in the Irish market has led to the development of a range of sliding bogie trailers for the construction industry, including the sliding mixer and sliding brick and block carriers.

Dennison Trailers are truly passionate about engineering for excellence and providing the best possible customer service. Leading the way with innovative products, they are committed to continuous research and development with the aim of always presenting superbly engineered products that are both safety and quality compliant, topped with a superb aftercare service.

Unrivalled excellence in trailer design is the culmination of 60 years’ experience and knowledge of building trailers for the UK-Irish market, and more recently in the German and Scandinavian markets.

All Dennison trailers are designed and customised using the latest 3D solid modelling and stress analysis software. Their experienced design team works closely with the in-house Innovation Director and R&D team to help design some of the most sought after trailers available today.

Innovation is as important to Dennison as it is to their customers. As a business, they continuously innovate by applying cutting edge design aligned to the specific and changing requirements of each trailer’s function with the aim of saving fuel, maximising payloads, increasing manoeuvrability and flexibility, improving safety and complying with all legal regulations

The Dennison sliding bogie skeletal was amongst the first in the industry, able to extend for any size containers from 20ft to 45ft, within all legal criteria.

Dennison Trailers skeletals are all designed with consideration of the needs of operators, who expect the highest standards of performance, driver friendliness and build quality. These superior-performance skeletals deliver just that: they are robustly designed and built, require minimal driver input to change from one container size to another, last longer and require minimal maintenance – and yet they have an amazingly low un-laden weight.

Dennison offer a range of both fixed and sliding skeletals for operators dealing with a variety of container lengths – each designed and built to the same exacting standards. Goose necks on both fixed and sliding chassis have become an important part of the range in the last 10 years with operators benefitting from increased fuel efficiency and ability to lower the centre of gravity of the container leading to increased safety.
