Midland Tyres Group acquires Tyres and Batteries Ltd

The Midland Tyres Group has announced the completion of its acquisition of T.A.B. Tyres and Batteries Ltd (“T.A.B.”) on 11th June. This strategic move will help enhance Midlands service offering to our fleets in the greater Dublin area and offer a wider range of services and 24 hour support to T.A.B. customers.

T.A.B. was founded in 1982 and has been providing top quality service to its loyal customer base for over four decades.

Midlands was founded over 40 years ago and is one of the largest independent tyre dealers offering 32 county fleet and breakdown coverage. 

Strategic Benefits
As part of the Midlands Group, T.A.B. is now well positioned to expand its fleet and breakdown coverage across the wider Dublin area. Leveraging the scale of the Midlands Group, T.A.B. Tyres will maintain its customer – centric values while benefitting from increased resources and support. This acquisition further strengthens Midlands  national presence and makes the company’s second recent acquisition.  

The combination of Midland and T.A.B. business’s, further strengthens Midlands national presence and is Midland’s  second acquisition in recent times and is part of its overall growth strategy to strategically increase its operating locations.
