Ollie Mullooly went down a storm at the last summer edition of Full of the Pipe in Punchestown a couple of years ago and the ultra-popular Clare-based trad DJ is set to provide some original and novel entertainment at Mondello Park this July.

Musical entertainment has a big part to play at Full of the Pipe and the organisers always leave no stone unturned in getting the party started, so to speak. With 40 years’ experience working in the entertainment industry, Ollie Mullooly has a great track record for treating music lovers both young and old to sizzling sets and his last appearance at Full of the Pipe was bordering on legendary.

Highly regarded as both a DJ and stage master of ceremony, Ollie Mullooly has been involved in the entertainment industry since 1984 and established 1st Class Events Ireland in 2010. Well known in both his native Manchester and his home in County Clare, he has been facilitating fashion shows, book launches, conferences, private parties, weddings, festivals and truck shows for more years now than he probably cares to remember.

Ollie is known for delivering a particular style of trad disco (or trisco) and has performed fresh, lively and headline-grabbing sets at events such as Portlaoise Tradfest and Ennis Tradfest (he played at Portlaoise in May and will be back in action in Ennis for their 30th-anniversary edition in November).

An acclaimed DJ on the trad circuit, Ollie also returned to Newport earlier this year to perform once more at the Féile Sheáin Mhic Pháidín – John McFadden Festival. Due to his inimitable nature of engaging the audience and great taste in music, he’s in big demand with venues and festivals the length and breadth of the country.

Full of the Pipe is delighted to welcome Ollie Mullooly back for what promises to be another unforgettable trisco set which is sure to get Mondello Park swinging and singing this weekend.

Anyone who appreciates both good music and a bit of banter is in for a real treat when Ollie takes to the Full of the Pipe again as the ‘Hooley in Mondello’ is guaranteed to go down a storm!

It was during the darkest days of the Covid years that the ‘Hooley with Mullooly’ became a thing and brought joy and hope to many, leading to Ollie picking up many awards for remotely entertaining people in their own homes.

Hailed as ‘the best DJ-hosted traditional Irish and country music show in the land’, the ‘Hooley with Mullooly’ began on March 17th, 2020 and the novel weekly online broadcast represented a beacon of hope for the many people from all around the world who tuned in to the show, with the personable host selected as the deserving inaugural winner of the ‘Clare Covid Heroes’ award for his efforts.

The penultimate show was broadcast from the familiar surroundings of Ollie’s sitting room on Saturday, July 24th, 2021, followed by the final ‘Hooley with Mullooly’ beamed from The Bowling Green Pub in Chorlton, Manchester the following Saturday night. With normal life resumed, the popular Manchester-born trad DJ took the decision to hang up his Facebook Live microphone but his popularity continues to soar and a timely reminder as to why is imminent at Full of the Pipe 2024.

Are you ready to T.R.I.S.C.O.? If so, Ollie Mullooly will get you moving!

Full of the Pipe Truckshow Ireland returns to Mondello Park over the weekend of July 13th and 14th.
