Complete customer satisfaction is always guaranteed with Keith Cleary Plant Hire Ltd which boasts a modern fleet of plant and machinery, and specialises in tipper work, bulk excavation, site clearance and mobile crushing.
Based in Drumbar on the outskirts of Donegal Town, the company was established in 2001 by Keith Cleary who has all the experience and resources necessary to carry out projects that not only meet, but exceed his clients’ expectations. Keith is joined by a 10-strong team of highly-skilled drivers and machinery operatives, and is supported by his wife Patricia, son David (14) and daughter Emma (10).
With a strong focus on quality, efficiency, reliability, Health & Safety and value-for-money, Keith Cleary Plant Hire has developed an excellent working relationship with many regular clients, including McMonagle Stone, Millstone Quarries, Priority Construction (Dublin), Boyle Construction, Glebe Builders, Norris Plant Hire (Sligo), Carnvalley Holdings and Axis Construction. The contractor has earned an enviable reputation for delivering high-quality works on time and within budget.
“We have worked hard to build a strong name for ourselves,” Keith points out.
“Our reputation in this business is second to none. Our employees are trained to a very high standard. If you’re with me, you have to be able to turn your hand to every job and I’m very lucky to have people who can do that.
“We achieve total customer satisfaction by working together as a team and providing an efficient and friendly service. We offer solutions to meet your exact requirements and needs. We’re always willing to go the extra mile for our customers.”
To deliver exceptional work, you need exceptional machinery and Keith Cleary isn’t found wanting in this regard. He has an array of plant to cater for every project, from articulated trucks to excavators and crushing equipment. His all-Scania fleet of trucks is made up of four artics and four rigids.
"They're all old, but reliable and none of them are on finance!" Keith jokes.
He also runs two four-axle Faymonville trailers, which were purchased from Ashbourne Truck Centre, and three Schmitz tipping trailers. All trucks and trailers are maintained and serviced on a regular basis by Sean Kelly Commercials in Trillick, Co. Tyrone and George Anderson Commercial Repairs in Ballintra to ensure there is no such thing as downtime.
Keith Cleary Plant Hire takes great pride in the appearance of its trucks, which are always immaculately turned out. The company’s growth and success can be attributed to the knowledge, experience and expertise of its drivers as well as the quality of its fleet.
Keith has a wide range of excavators and earthmoving equipment, including a new Hitachi 130-7 digger which was supplied by TBF Thompson. The other excavators are a mix of Doosan, Volvo and Caterpillar, while he is also running a Komatsu D-65PX bulldozer as well as Terex, Finlay and Powerscreen crushers, and McCloskey screeners.
Business is good at the moment for Keith Cleary Plant Hire and sister company Cleary Contract Crushing which works for McMonagle Stone, Millstone Quarries and numerous other clients nationwide. The family-run business recently completed works on the new General Hospital in Ballyshannon for Boyle Construction which involved the removal of 50,000 tonnes of waste material and replacing it with 100,000 tonnes of soil and stone. All waste material removed off-site is carried under a National Waste Collection Permit.
“It kept us going during the Covid-19 pandemic as it was deemed essential work,” Keith says.
Last year, Keith Cleary Plant Hire completed 200,000 tonnes of muck-shifting for a new Carnvalley Holdings residential and commercial development in Donegal Town in just three months.
“We’ve worked on all the major projects that have taken place in the town in recent years, including the new Supermacs and a 50-house development by Axis Construction. We’ve done all the muck shifting and stoning up on those jobs,” he proudly adds.
As a company with many years’ experience in tipper work, bulk excavation, site clearance and mobile crushing, Keith Cleary Plant Hire is more than happy to provide you with information and technical advice with regard to your project and the options available to you. Keith’s ultimate aim is to safely complete the works in the allocated time frame to ensure that future sub-contractors can begin work on their respective packages. His top-quality service is reflected in the high volume of repeat business and referrals he receives from satisfied clients.
Developing transparent working relationships and adding value to projects has been central to his company’s success.
Keith would like to take this opportunity to thank his customers and suppliers for their continued support, as well as his staff for their hard work, dedication and expertise.
