Irish Trucker caught up with Noel Kelly to find out all about the company – from its origins to the state of business today.

“We've been established since 2001 and we’re part of Kelly’s Car And Commercials Ltd ,” Noel outlined.

“Right now, we’re operating with four staff and we specialise in refrigerated van rentals and truck hire as well.”

With bases in Limerick and Cork, Kelly Car And Commercial Repairs Ltd provide truck and car maintenance and repairs, as well as being a distributor for Isuzu’s light to medium truck range.

Hillgrove Refrigerated Van Rental Ltd is the van/truck rental side of the business and it provides clients with flexible and cost-effective contract hire rates and plans.

“We were part of Kellys Car & Commercial Repairs,” explained Noel. “That’s how we started out and then we went into van rental in 2001 and became Hillgrove Refrigerated Van Rental Ltd.” 

Today, Hillgrove Refrigerated Van Rental Ltd has refrigerated vans available in a wide variety of makes, models, and configurations, from small car sized vans, to large long wheel base vans with standard, low and high roof options.

All of the company vans are well maintained, under three years old and backed up by its excellent customer service.

With regards trucks, all of the refrigerated trucks at Hillgrove Refrigerated Van Rental Ltd are available in a wide variety of makes, models, lengths, engine sizes and weights for any business use.

Optional extras include tail lift, with all trucks being under three years old, regularly serviced and highly efficient.

“Business has definitely been good but, in saying that, it’s not as good as it would have been last year,” he said.

“The (Covid-19) pandemic would have had an affect on us with lockdown and everything else, but things are still good here and hopefully they will continue that way.”
