Irvinestown Truck Run Announce New 2015 Route

13 July 2015

This year the organisers of the Irvinestown Truck Run have a decided introduce a new route on this, the 15th anniversary of the event.  Joe Mahon, Mahons Hotel explains, “the truck run has been taking the lough side route for 8 years so we felt that this year and for this special anniversary we would bring the truck run to the county town of Enniskillen”.

“Departing from Irvinestown at 3.00pm on the 19th June 2015, the convoy will make its way into Enniskillen where it is anticipated that 100’s of people will line the streets of the town to see more than 400 trucks travel through the county town”.

Spectators are in for real treat this year with a variety of specialist vehicles in the convoy.  Truckers will be getting geared up on Saturday at the truckers car park in Irvinestown making sure their trucks are in prime condition for on lookers.

Joe continues “our truckers go to great efforts and expense to make sure the convoy is a memorable event for spectators, we want to also ensure that the reason why we are doing this event is remembered and that along the way we will have Marie Curie bucket collectors to gather contributions from the public.

We have been doing this event for 15 years now, in all we have raised more than £500, 000.  This year we hope to have another great fundraising year.
