Start-stop standard on Mercedes-Benz Sprinters from June

Fuel and emissions-conscious van users – especially those for whom vans are a frontline distribution tool – will be interested to know that ‘Start-Stop’ technology is to be added as a standard fitment on all Mercedes-Benz Sprinters sold in Ireland from June.

With the addition of this important new feature as a standard item, the new Sprinter (which is already WLTP compliant) puts itself to the forefront in matters relating to fuel savings and emissions reduction.

Commenting, Fergus Conheady, sales manager for Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles in Ireland said: ‘thanks to the addition of start-stop technology as an in-built feature on all Sprinters, owners such as those engaged in food, drinks and commodities distribution, and those providing courier services and van rental clients, have a platform on which to demonstrate environmental responsibility whilst recording valuable bottom line savings’.
