Executives from DAF Trucks, MAN Truck & Bus UK, Iveco, Renault, Scania, Isuzu and Volvo are set to line-up for a not-to-be-missed special manufacturer discussion on 18 May at the Microlise Transport Conference.

The session is set to take place as part of the afternoon agenda of the conference and is a rare opportunity to see the leading truck manufacturers together setting out their vision of the future of road transport.

“The industry is in a strong position right now, with high demand for new trucks and maturing technology delivering a range of benefits to transport service providers and operators,” said Nadeem Raza, Microlise Chief Executive Officer.

“This panel session will look at the state of the industry now and the likely demands in the years ahead from the perspective of truck manufacturers, exploring the key issues that are likely to impact the industry over the coming years,” added Raza.

The executives representing the manufacturers will be:
• Ray Ashworth, Managing Director of DAF Trucks
• Simon Elliott, CEO of MAN Truck & Bus UK
• Dr Arif Jafferji, Business Development & Marketing Director, Scania
• Nigel Butler, Commercial Director, Renault Trucks UK
• Martin Flach, Product Director UK & Ireland, Iveco
• Bob Morris, General Manager – Product, Isuzu
• Hayder Wokil, Mobility & Automation Director, Volvo Trucks

The conference is expected to attract upwards of 1,000 delegates and has grown in recent years to become the largest road transport conference in Europe.

Alongside this session, the Microlise Transport Conference features speakers including HRH The Princess Royal and a range of key organisations, as well as an exhibition area of industry associations and suppliers.

Three workshop areas at the conference also provide focused content for attendees wanting to find out more about compliance, technology and to hear from some of the industry’s most innovative companies.
