Volvo targets sales increase

Volvo is forecasting only a slight decline in demand for Euro 6 vehicles during the first quarter of the year.
According to trucks product manager John Comer, the demand for Euro 6 trucks "remains very healthy, as most of the early preconceptions about performance have been dismissed".
"We expected 2014 to start with a flurry of activity as derogated Euro 5 trucks were registered, but we anticipated a small decline in demand for the more expensive Euro 6 models," he states. "The market [will] move back to more normal levels towards the year-end.
"For Volvo, the new FH chassis and driveline technology is now available on the new FM and FMXat Euro 6 and already we have seen considerable interest through a series of customer ride 'n' drives held in Sweden.”
